Hans Olsen originally designed this set in 1952 with four seats and then subsequently introduced the expanding models, of which this example is the largest. A round four-seat table which expands in two directions to seat six with the insertion of two leaves and eight with the insertion of four leaves. Although unfortunately this set is missing its extending leaves :( DThe eight side chairs have sculpted backrests that push in to sit flush with the tabletop. Condition: Excellent restored condition; fully refinished and re-upholstered in black vinyl. Dimensions: The four-seat table is 46" long by 46" wide; the six-seat table is 66" long x 46" wide; the eight-seat table is 66" long x 66" wide. The table's height is 29". The chairs are 30" tall, 19.75" wide and 17" deep. The seat height is 17.5".
